The Leadership Team
The leadership of the association is comprised of a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. In addition, there are four Committee Chairs…Alumni Relations, Meetings & Events, Chapter Liaison and Nominating. These are the alumni Brothers who will provide leadership for the various programs, events and activities of the association for the upcoming year. Their name and position are listed here for your convenience. Please share any thoughts, ideas or suggestions that you might have with any of them.
President – Lance D’Armond ( Manage and Monitor )
Vice President – Tommy Holliday ( Oversee Committee Work )
Secretary – Taylor Carver ( Database & Communications )
Treasurer – Joe Buttross ( Coord. Dues Collection / Pay Expenses )
Meetings & Events – Tommy Watts
This committee will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the regular meetings ( date, time and location ) and securing guest speakers for those meetings (when one is desired) and working with the President to plan the agenda for each meeting. The committee will also have responsibility for planning any “special events” which the Association may wish to host during the year.
Chapter Liaison – Dr. Mike Maginnis
This may well be a “committee of one” and will be the alumni association representative who will seek to keep the Chapter advised of association activities, coordinate with the Meetings Chair & President when the Chapter leaders wish to make presentations or lead discussions, and ensure that the association is informed regarding Chapter activities and events…particularly those where alumni involvement is desired or welcome.
Nominating – John Wayne Jewell
This committee will coordinate the nomination and election of officers and appointment of committee chairs each year. They may defer to the new officers regarding the appointment of committee chairs. This committee will also have responsibility for coordinating the selection process for Hall of Honor and Tower Award nominees as well as possible nominees for Kappa Sigma “Man of the Year” distinction.
Alumni Relations – Aaron Larose
This committee will oversee / monitor the website, prepare and distribute newsletters ( with assistance from the Secretary), and develop and implement a plan to “grow” the association by helping secure contact information on all of our alumni. The committee will also have responsibility for updating the list of those who have joined “Chapter Celestial.”
The Alumni Socials are held on the third or fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at T.J.Ribs on South Acadian Thruway.
